Description

Cheeseburger Bowls with Copycat Big Mac Sauce are a delicious, low-carb twist on the classic cheeseburger experience. Featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh vegetables, and a tangy homemade Big Mac sauce, these bowls provide all the flavors of a Big Mac without the bun. Perfect for a quick, satisfying meal in just 35 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Big Mac Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle relish
  • 2 Tablespoons finely minced white onion (or dried minced onion)
  • 1 Tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Burger and Toppings

  • ½ cup diced white onion
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Chopped romaine lettuce
  • Freshly grated cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • Sliced cherry tomatoes
  • Sliced dill pickles
  • Cooked potato wedges or French fries
  • Sliced red onion (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Big Mac Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, minced onion, yellow mustard, paprika, and garlic powder until well combined. Cover and refrigerate while preparing the burger to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced white onion and ground beef. Cook, crumbling the meat with a spatula, until the beef is fully cooked and no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess grease from the pan.
  3. Season the Beef: Reduce heat to low. Season the cooked beef with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Stir well and continue cooking on low heat for an additional 5 minutes to develop flavor.
  4. Assemble the Bowls: Divide the cooked beef evenly into four medium-sized bowls. Top each bowl with chopped romaine lettuce, grated cheddar cheese, sliced cherry tomatoes, sliced dill pickles, cooked potato wedges or French fries, and sliced red onion if using.
  5. Finish and Serve: Drizzle each bowl generously with the prepared Big Mac sauce. Serve immediately and enjoy the classic flavors of a cheeseburger in a bowl format.

Notes

  • You can substitute dried minced onion with fresh minced white onion for stronger flavor.
  • Use lean ground beef (90% or higher) to reduce excess fat and grease.
  • For a lower carb option, omit the potato wedges or French fries.
  • Big Mac sauce can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
  • Feel free to customize the toppings to your preference, such as adding avocado or jalapeños for extra heat.
